Ship Tracking

Find the location of a ship or simply view the vessels located around a particular port. Freight Metrics has plotted the locations of the major shipping ports around Australia on Google Maps. Use the search bar on goolge maps to go to the Port of your choice and links to the port website for shipping schedules.  Simply click on the markers for links to information abou the Port Authority or the ship your watching.

Note:  Not all ports are supported for ship tracking.

Import / Export Calculator

Do you know what your Import / Export costs are?  Do you know what costs to consider before you make your arrangements?  The Import / Export Calculator helps you work out what your import or export arrangements will cost you.

Incoterms - International Shipping Terms

Incoterms are a set of terms used to legally define responsibilities of cost and encumbrance of goods.  Ther terms are used in International trade to help traders in different countries understand who is responsible for what costs and actions.  The terms simplify discussion of trade by reducing the risk of language barriers or semantics that could create confusion concerning cost onus.  The Incoterms are published by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and are protected by copyright.

There are 13 Incoterms and the ICC website provides preambles to each term along with some basic information.  The preambles do not define the obligations but provide a simple description.  The full published texts are required for definition of the 13 Incoterms, available from ICC Publishing.
